Special Designated Liquor License

Special Designated Liquor Licenses (SDL) must be applied for online at https://lcc.nebraska.gov/special-designated-license. There is a fee of $40.00 for each day identified in the Special Designated License Application payable to the Nebraska Liquor Commission, unless the applicant is the holder of a liquor catering license (K). The City of Blair does not charge a fee for a SDL.

Approval from the local governing body (City Clerk) is required to sign off on the SDL local recommendation form. If your event has been previously approved by the City Council, you can contact cityclerk@blairnebraska.org or at 402-426-6694 to sign the local recommendation form.  If your event is new and has not previously been approved by the City Council, then you will need to appear before them requesting approval of your event.

All SDL applications must be received at fthe Commission at least (7) business days prior to the date of the event. However, if your event requires prior approval from the City Council, a longer lead time will be required as the City Council only meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. Contact the City Clerk at cityclerk@blairnebraska.org or at 402-426-6694 for information on how to appear before the City Council for consideration of your SDL.

If you have any questions regarding the application process, you may contact the City Clerk at 402-426-6694 or by email at cityclerk@blairnebraska.org.  Again, all applications must start online with the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission at https://lcc.nebraska.gov/special-designated-license. Any questions regarding the online process should be directed to lcc.sdl.licensing@nebraska.gov or by calling Shelly Paden at 402-471-2821.
