Drone Division

The Blair Police Department has 4 Part 107 Drone Pilots throughout their ranks at the department. Each one of the operators had to conduct and pass vigorous training to receive their Part 107 Drone Operator License through the Federal Aviation Administration. The Police Department currently has 3 total  drones in operation, 2 for outdoor and 1 for indoor operations. The uses of the drones vary from search and rescue, investigations, and other situations as necessary.  In the year 2024 the drones logged 3,206 flight minutes over approximately 100 missions.
