The City of Blair, in partnership with the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, utilizes the AlertSense Mass Notification System to provide timely and accurate emergency alerts to residents across the county. This unified system allows officials to quickly notify the public about critical situations such as snow emergencies, boil water advisories, severe weather, or other urgent incidents.

We strongly encourage all Blair residents to sign up for this free service to stay informed and prepared when it matters most. While there is no charge to receive alerts, standard text messaging rates may apply. Weather-related alerts are automatically issued by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), ensuring up-to-date warnings for your area.

For those who prefer mobile-based alerts, the myAlerts app is also available and allows you to receive location-specific notifications wherever you go.
