As ISO rating is a score from 1 to 10 given by the Insurance Services Offices (ISO) that evaluates a community's fire protection services. A lower score indicates better fire protection, with a Class 1 being the best and a Class 10 meaning the fire department does not meet minimum requirements. ISO ratings are based on factors like emergency communications, the fire department's capabilities, and local water supply.
