Community Development Department Relocation
Our Community Development and Building Department has officially moved to the City Hall Annex Building at 1516 Grant Street. The main entrance is accessible from Grant Street.

The City of Blair has adopted Building Codes and Zoning Regulations (links below) to preserve, protect and promote the public health, safety and general welfare. The Building Department is responsible for all aspects of the City's commercial and residential development, including:

  • Building permits and inspections
  • Plan Review and Building Code Review, including ADA compliance
  • Zoning and Land Use applications
  • Code Enforcement and Property Maintenance
  • ABCs of ADU's in Blair - A Conditional Use Permit is required for every ADU. 

The Building Department provides a comprehensive review process of all development plans and building permits to assure compliance with city codes and ordinances.

Additional Responsibilities

Building Inspectors perform on-site inspections for all new construction, alterations, renovations and repairs to buildings within the city limits and the two-mile extraterritorial jurisdiction.
